July 15th, 2019 – Fishing has been good. Upper lakes are now open and it has taken some of the pressure off of Little Reservoir. Still catching a few browns, but most fisherman are catching a lot of fish. Must use a minnow pattern/Lure if you want to go after the Brown Trout.
June 11th, 2019 – Fishing has been good! It was stocked 5-30-19 and 6-6-19. It has been pretty packed with fisherman because of the upper lakes being closed still. We have heard of a few brown trout being caught as well. 2-3lb range.
May 4th, 2016 – Early fishing reports have been good. We have heard of a few individuals catching Tiger trout. Not sure if they stocked it. No reports of big browns being taken yet.
February 19th, 2016 – Lake is frozen for the winter. Ice Fishing should be decent for those willing to venture up to the lake.
August 9th, 2015 – Fishing has been good. Quite a few people have been catching browns. I hear a lot of stories of them “Getting off the hook”.
June 10th, 2015 – Another big brown was caught – probably 12-14 lbs. – 28 or so inches. Great fish. Still waiting for customer to come in so we can get a pic.
April 18, 2015 – We have heard of a couple smaller browns being caught. Over-all fishing has been average with most individuals catching 1-3 fish per hour. Best time for fishing is in the early morning and later in the afternoon.
March 21, 2015 – Ice is now off of Little Reservoir. A little early this year. Early fishing has been good. Should be some good Browns taken.
August 26, 2014 – Fishing has been good. Nelson Howard pulled in a 28″, 12 Pound German Brown trout. (Beautiful fish) Check it out in our Photo Gallery.
June 26, 2014 – Fishing has been fantastic – Usually smaller fish, but they have been biting. Gold and Silver Lures, Spinners or Worms are the top baits right now.
June 11, 2014 – This lake was stocked last week. Fishing has been really good. Weather in the morning and evening is PERFECT right now! Worms and Power Bait are always the easiest for this lake. I have heard of a couple of Browns being caught on Brown Trout Rapalas.
May 6th, 2014 – You have been able to get to little Res for about 4 weeks now. Ice is completely off and early fishing reports have been good. The easiest is worms and Power Bait. Spinners and Flies are also working well. Small wet flies in Black, Green or Brown patterns seem to be the preferred choice right now for fly fisherman.
April 15th, 2014 – Early fishing reports have been good. Small fish, but expecting to hear some stories of some nice browns soon.
April 7, 2014 – Ice is now off. You can get to and fish Little Reservoir. There are a couple spots of snow still covering the road. You may be able to get there in a car, but we still would recommend a truck or 4 wheel drive.
December 7, 2013– Ice should be covering the reservoir and should be safe to fish on.
May 25, 2013 – Fishing has been great. We have seen a couple of big browns caught. (See them in the Photo Gallery.) Green and Rainbow Power Bait and Worms seem to be the best method of fishing.
May 2, 2013 – The lake is now completely free of ice and has been available for fishing the last few days. Early fisherman at this lake usually do really well.
September 5, 2012 – Fishing has slowed down for Little Reservoir. The moss has been taking over the lake because of warm weather and pollution from cabins above the reservoir. Bait fishing isn’t too bad, but we recommend taking the time to drive to Kent’s, Anderson Meadow or Lebaron… All three have been doing well.
May 22, 2012 – Little Reservoir was stocked last week and the fishing has been really good. I took some friends up and we caught ten fish in just over an hour. Great place to take the kids. Panther Martin’s, Jakes Lures and Bait fishing seeming to be the right combination for these fish.
If you are going after the browns, make sure and have some Rapala’s on hand.
April 18th, 2012 – Little Reservoir is now open! As of April 16th, the ice has melted enough for fishing. The road is accessible and a majority of ice has melted over the last 4 or 5 days. Fishing reports have been great! Very few people have been up there so far.
Some Browns have been caught and a few of decent size. Fishing should be amazing for the next few weeks as the fish are anxious to see the sun.

Little Res. has been fairly mossy. Great place for smaller trout. Some large Browns are taken from Little Res. early in the year.
Roads are open with easy acess to the lake.
