The Beaver River is a Runoff river located just East of Beaver in the Tushar Mountains. The Beaver river is fed by multiple tributaries - Merchant Creek, Three Creeks, the East Fork, and South Fork. Small streams can also be found between the lakes on the mountain. The main (Upper) river is approx. 12 Miles long.
The Beaver river winds its way along the Main road (hwy 153) heading to the ski resort. It is stocked regularly throughout the Summer months with Rainbow and some Brown trout. May also catch Cutthroat and Brook Trout.
Flies, Small Spinners and Bait are usually the easiest way to catch trout in this river. Gold and Silver seem to be the preferred color.
There are a couple of spots near the Ponderosa Campground and Turnoff to Little Reservoir that are Wheelchair/Handicap Accessible.
